MotoVault is an independently operated software project.
What browser storage is
Browser storage lets a website remember small pieces of information on your device between visits, so it does not need to ask you to sign in or choose your preferences again every time.
How MotoVault uses storage
MotoVault uses two kinds of browser storage. Session storage supports your login. Local storage remembers preferences you have chosen, like your language and how you like your lists displayed.
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session storage | Keeps the user signed in and supports the active session. | Until logout or the browser session ends. |
| Preference storage | Remembers language and interface display choices selected by the user. | Until changed by the user or cleared from the browser. |
| Notice preference | Remembers that the storage notice has already been dismissed. | Until the notice policy changes or browser storage is cleared. |
What MotoVault does not use
MotoVault does not currently use analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking of any kind.
Clearing browser storage
Clearing your browser's storage signs you out and resets your local preferences to their defaults. It does not delete your MotoVault account or anything stored on our servers. Most browsers let you do this from their privacy or site settings.
Third-party services
If you choose to sign in with Google, you are interacting with Google's own authentication service. Google may process technical information under its own privacy terms.
Map content is loaded from OpenStreetMap or OpenFreeMap when you open a page with a map. Mapterhorn is also contacted when terrain is enabled, and Esri is contacted if you select the Satellite or Satellite Hybrid map appearance.
Changes to this policy
If MotoVault's use of browser storage changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and let returning visitors know.
