Keep motorcycle documents with the right bike

A document record belongs to one motorcycle, so policies, registration records and inspection information do not become mixed across the bikes in your account. Give each record a clear title, choose its type and add notes that will help you recognize it later.

MotoVault provides categories for insurance, registration, technical inspection and road tax, plus an Other category for a motorcycle-related record that does not fit those choices. These are organization labels, not a list of documents you are legally required to carry.

Track important document dates

Add an issue date, an expiry date, both or neither according to the record you are keeping. MotoVault uses the expiry date you enter to calculate a clear status; it does not contact an issuer or renew anything for you.

Issue date

Record when the document was issued when that date is useful for your own history.

Expiry date

Save the date a document expires and see how many days remain while it is still upcoming.

Expiry status

Records appear as valid, expiring soon, expiring today, expired or without an expiry date. Expiring soon covers the final 30 days.

The motorcycle Overview surfaces expired, expiring-today and expiring-soon records in its Expiring section, with the most urgent items first. Enable document-expiry emails in Account Preferences to add a warning before upcoming expiries.

Keep supporting files with the record

Attach one or more supported files to a document record, within your plan's attachment and storage limits. MotoVault accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP images and PDF documents; it does not turn the upload into an official or verified copy.

Open an attachment in MotoVault's image or PDF preview, or download the file for your own reference. The protected download still follows the document's motorcycle and account ownership checks.

Find expiring documents without digging through files

The document list can be searched, filtered by category or expiry status and sorted with the soonest expiry first. Expired and approaching records are therefore visible without opening every attachment.

Enable document-expiry emails in Account Preferences and MotoVault can send one warning when a stored document first enters its final 30 days before expiry. The Overview continues to surface approaching and expired records. Delivery is not guaranteed, so you remain responsible for the dates and original documents that matter to you.

A private record for your own reference

Document records and attachments are private to your account. Files are retrieved through MotoVault only after the normal ownership checks rather than being published as public links.

MotoVault is an organization tool, not an official document wallet. A saved record or digital copy does not replace an original, prove legal validity or verify the information you entered.

Documents alongside the ownership history

Document organization stays focused on paperwork and dates, while other MotoVault sections keep their own records. For work performed on the bike, service details and supporting invoices belong in the motorcycle maintenance tracker
